The open-air museum in Gifhorn is home to 13 full-size mills from countries around the world. The mills come from Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Russia and Korea.

In the restaurants in the traditional costume house or in the bakery, in the idyllic beer garden on the Ise with its own jetty, on Lindenplatz and at the Greek mill on Mühlensee lake, special emphasis is placed on high-quality products from producers in the region.
